I forgot to add this one! This is a pastel portrait that Mr. Arthur Smith did of Jackson today! He took a still photo yesterday and sketched his body and we went back this afternoon for him to do the color and the features on his face. He is so talented! He did this while we were sitting there talking to him. Jackson did so good and Mr. Smith was really good with him. For those of you in Troy, he will be in town all week at Park Memorial doing these paintings. 1/3 of his profit is going to Pike County Relay for Life!

Wow, have we had a great weekend!!!!!! My sister and Katie Jennings Shurett had a wonderful baby shower for me on Saturday at Kim's house. It was so perfect. We had so much great food and fellowship. I know they both worked really hard to get ready for the day and I truely appreciate every bit of it! Allie got so much cute things and even more practical stuff. I had so much fun organizing it all today! Jackson's Big Daddy and Meme were here this weekend for the shower and they spent the night with us! We had a ball! Today we spent the morning at the creek behind our house. Sydni, Molly and Kim came, too. The kids had a blast and ended up, "buck naked" as Jackson called it. He was walking through the water when he came to a deep spot and fell down. This was the perfect excuse to take all of his clothes of and go throught the creek with only his diaper. Anyway, for those of you wondering...Allie is due in about five weeks so it won't be much longer now! I will send out updates as often as possible!!!! Love you all!!

Booth Family Update

I have created this blog for all of my friends and family as a way to keep up with us (or catch up with us) since everyone is so busy and we don't always keep in touch like we would like.

Kevin and I have been married since July 10, 2004. We enjoyed two wonderful years together before welcoming the most beautiful little boy into our lives. Jackson Cade Booth was born on September 11, 2006 and he has been the most wonderful blessing God could have ever given us.

We are now expecting blessing #2 in April of this year! It's a GIRL!!! Allie Brooke Booth has already made a huge impact on our lives. We found out when I was 16 weeks pregnant that there were two cysts in her brain called choroid plexus cysts. We were terrified despite the news that "most" of these heal and are no cause for concern...however, there was a small chance that she may have a chromosomal disorder or some other type of abnormality. Through the overwhelming love and support of friends and family and a tremendous amount of prayer...we were relieved to find out at the 28 week ultrasound that the cysts have healed and that there doesn't seem to be any problems! GOD is good and prayer is powerful! We continue to pray for her well being through the remainder of the pregnancy and the delivery as well.

Jackson is getting excited about Allie's arrival although I am not sure how much he really understands. He pulled my shirt up last night and stuck his cute little finger in my bellybutton (what is left of it) and said, "My ready for Allie come out and play wif me". He is going to be the best big brother. He is such a loving and sweet child. He has a lot of sense for a two year old and his compassion for others is very apparent already at this early age. He is also very coordinated and athletic. He loves football, basketball, and baseball. I am very proud of him and I know that God has great things in store for his life.

As you can tell, our kids are our lives. As far as Kevin and I...Kevin owns his own business with his dad, Booth Enterprises. They do dirt work, site prep, demolition, etc. It is a lot of hard work but Kevin actually enjoys it and looks forward to work most everyday. When he isn't working for the company he is working around our "farm". He raises horses and cows and we have what seems to be a million dogs! Kevin is a wonderful husband and most of the PERFECT daddy to Jackson. I know Jackson wants to be just like him when he grows up and I am OK with that :).
I am a registered nurse and work at a pediatrician's office here in Troy. I actually love working with the kids even though it is something I never thought I would be doing. The people I work with are great too. I spend my days anxious to get home to Jackson and Kevin, though. I love being a wife and a mommy over everything else. I grew up with a wonderful mother who was always so selfless and I strive each day to be just that to my family.

Well, that's it. Our family history in a nutshell over the past four and a half years. All in all I would say..
It's a wonderful life!
